Browser Memory Limits for Batch Images

Pixels matter more than ZIP size

An image 6000 by 4000 pixels contains 24 million pixels. During editing, each pixel can require multiple bytes of working memory, plus canvas and output copies. Several large photos can quickly pressure a phone or laptop.

Limits prevent unstable sessions

Caps on files, total bytes, and megapixels protect the tab from freezing or crashing. Sequential processing also reduces how many full image buffers exist at once. These limits are a reliability feature, not merely an upload rule.

Split demanding collections

Close memory-heavy tabs, process smaller groups, and avoid combining many extreme-resolution sources. If one image exceeds a pixel cap, resize it separately first. Download and verify each ZIP before beginning the next batch.
